If some of you recall our first attempt at letting chloe sleep in our bedroom freely was a disaster :)

Using some the suggestions from the last post we've had her sleeping in her crate in our bedroom for the past couple months. Last night I decided to let her free roam again in our bedroom but with her crate door open. She first laid down at one side of the bed and chewed on her bone for about 5 minutes. Then she went inside her crate and went right to sleep! She didn't make a fuss or wake up all night. I even hit the snooze on my alarm clock a couple times this morning and she never left her crate. Even when I got up and was ready to go downstairs to feed her she didn't move from her crate until I called her to come down. Success! :)

How wonderful that her crate is her haven. So is my Sheila's. If she doesn't feel just right or wants rest from a hubbub, even from us, off to her crate she goes. Now we have to travel this weekend (first time to take her with) and I feel so blessed she loves her crate. You could divide TV time from bedtime. Also, remember that things change every month with these guys. I can't believe Sheila is the same dog (she is 13 mos) that I got as a puppy. It just keeps getting better!!!
