Sucking his stuffed animal and kneeding...

Motta is 5 months old and just started doing this. My friend says he was taken from his mom too young and that is why he is doing it?

Anyone else's pup do this? Will he outgrow it? He also started a fear phase recently.

I am hoping this is just a normal puppy thing?

Dexter used to do that allll the time with his stuffed animal and I thought it was the cutest thing in the world, it was like his security blanket or something. So far (he's 8 months now) he seems to have outgrown it (unfortunately, in my mind!) I keep trying to find a stuffed animal that he likes enough to do that with but so far no luck! my pup was taken from his mom at 8 weeks which I hear is a good time developementally. I say he is probably fine, personally we all thought it was adorable!

It's actually funny looking to me! Motta is 50 lbs of puppy so picture this huge fluffy jiggly puppy sucking on a stuffed animal and kneeding!! lol... Miley doesn't do it so I was just wondering what people thought. I got Motta at 7 weeks old and Miley at 10 weeks.

Charlie used to do that when she was a little puppy!
She has this pink Hippo, and that's what she sucked and kneeded. Interesting thing is that, she destroyed all of the other stuffed animals and gutted them, but this Hippo! It is still in tact! ( She does not suck on it any more, though.)
