Hi does anyone have any favs for teething. I saw some idea s to freeze a washcloth. Lincoln is 16 weeks old any very mouthy.Mostly with me not my husband. My hands are sore. He bites and steals anything paper. It usually happens at night when he gets his "crazy eyes " wild time after dinner. We give him bones and toys and they only keep him busy for awhile. He gets bored. Other times he is my perfect Doodle!

Abby was unbelievably bitey and mouthy We were covered with bites and band aids for about three months. She did not like anything frozen but ice cubes. I tried freezing washcloths and bought a freezable chew toy for her but she walked away from them. The best chewables for her teething were a split antler and bully sticks. Abby is also a paper stealer. She is 7 months now and still loves it. The only real solution to the biting was age and maturity. She still likes to mouth and it's a continual training challenge.
I'm finding ice cubes to be fun for Brewster. And bully sticks. But he likes to go to town on it when I hold it so it's firmly in place cuz he can't hold it down that easily. He also likes to chew on any soft toy like stuffies or squeaker toys covered in soft furry fabric but I only let him play with those in my company for safety reasons. My hands hurt too, I feel your pain. I've been doing the "bitch yelp" and it's actually helping dissuade him from biting me. That along with "time out" where I leave the room and let him cry about it for a few minutes before he settles down. Good luck! Brewster is only 8.5 weeks!

Ice cubes are helping. Lincoln loves them. He bats them around and runs after them. Thanks for the idea.

The yelping can help. Sometimes it excites. But stopping all fun when a biting/mouthing happened helped. I also always had 2 soft toys with me when we were together. They communicate with their mouth so you need something appropriate to replace your body parts. I remember for a few days it was really bad and I sprayed bitter apple on my pants and hands.

We put ice cubes into a sock and tied it off. Our baby loved it.
