If it doesn't go away today, bring her to the vet tomorrow with a fresh stool sample.
In the meantime, I would be doing the "giardia cleanup" just in case. You can look around this site for methods (catching with a paper plate, diluted bleach solution, etc).
Pumpkin or sweet potato, plain boiled chicken breasts. Don't add anything else to her diet!
Pumpkin puree has been great to settle Hurley's stomach and to help with the runs. Also, I had put cooked white rice in his food. Sweet potato is great, also.
I agree with the suggestion on the Giardia clean up to error on the side of caution. We went through that with Hurley. We would give him the meds from the vet. It would clear up. Giardia test would show negative but the Giardia would come back. Then we had hime tested for Giardia Elisa which showed up positive. Worked with the vet on meds and finally got Hurley completely cleared up of everything.
When we discovered he had Giardia. I threw his toys away rather than clean them extremely deeply. That was probably extreme on my part but I didn't want to take any chances. I threw out his blanket, I scrubbed out his kennel several times and before letting him back in the kennel, while it was drying, I gave him a good bath and even shampooed the rugs in the house.
Hopefully you are only dealing with something your baby girl ate. Let us know what works to clear up her problem and good luck..
definitely pumpkin... go to your nearest grocery store and buy a can of libby's 100% pumpkin (or any brand.. just make sure it is NOT the pie filler kind!). Mix in 50/50 with your puppy's kibble. It will be soft and orange at first and then gradually form back up nicely if that's how it was before. (if it was never a nice solid form, consider changing his/her food!).... in terms of butt wiping, sometimes they are trying to express their anal glands! make sure you ask the groomer to do this for you next time around! good luck!
