Chachi was full of surprises today. First he rang his potty bell on his own twice ( we started with the bell just 4 days ago) then this evening he walked into his crate, laid down and fell asleep. Just last Wednesday I was crying because he would not go in his crate during the day. He did not like it and would fight me when I tried to get him in so I would not insist (didn't want to traumatize him). At bedtime, he always did great.
However I need some advice. The last time I took him to pee was 8pm. He has not had water since 8p. I usually take him out 9:30p or 10p them i put him in his crate for the night, what do I do, let him sleep for the night or let him sleep a little then wake him so he's not up early needing to pee?

He's so cute! I always wake them and take them out for the "last chance pee pee" usually around 10. They'll fall asleep very quickly and we can all sleep the night.
Well he solved that dilemma for me. He opened his eyes and looked at me. I told him to come but he would not. I slowly coaxed him out, took him outside and he quickly peed. He then went right back in crate and back to sleep. Such a sweet puppy.

that is so great! Such a cutie!

I would wake him up before you go to bed. He'll go back to sleep, and won't wake you up early to go out.  Oh, I see the problem is solved.. Glad it worked out.

Chester us just starting this too my adult son was home and laughed and laughed how I praised him but hey 5 days later and it is happening almost all the time.We praise him for going outside anyways but when he rings the bell he get lots more praise and treats  My son said maybe he should go outside and see what I do  LOL
