I just  got home from Petco...I was returning the 3rd toy that was advertised as "indestructible" and "great for aggressive chewers." After 30 minutes of play, Jacki had them in pieces! I have the cow hooves and bully sticks (they don't last very long), but I would like something for indoor play. I did decide to try one more toy from Petco and that was a Fire Hose toy. The clerk assured me that this would last for awhile. So far Jacki has only shredded a little bit of the nylon on one end so maybe we will get our money's worth out of this one!!! Any other suggestions?

Thanks for these suggestions Shelly! The first one I bought was the JW ball. Jacki LOVED it! But she destroyed it in about 15 minutes. I have a smaller Kong that has lasted a while so maybe I will get a bigger one and see how that goes.

I swear by Goughnuts! They are much more durable then Kong & plus they have a warranty! They were originally designed for pit bulls, but both my boys LOVE them, we have the regular size Goughnut & the retriever stick for both of them. Their green or black, black is for more aggressive chewers(that's what we have), the middle of the toys are red, & and as soon as you seen red, you are supposed to take the toy away & as long as its a small enough red size, Goughnuts will send you another one! But the thing is the red has to be a certain size, cause their goal is that you are supposed to supervise your pets with chew toys(very good thought), each toy is almost $30 but as long as you take it away when just a small size of red is showing, you only pay about $5 for a replacement! I think only the goughnut & retriever stick are guaranteed, the ball & other toys are not, cause they are interaction toys between owner & pet! We have had 1 of each toy for a little over a year(Wheeler is 1 yr 5 months) & we got the other set about 3 months ago when we got our Wicket, and they chew on them everyday, they are the only toys I let them have when I leave for an hour or two, cause they are the only ones I trust that my little 6 month old Wicket won't get a piece off when I'm not home! They just love them! Good company to deal with & they ship fast! >www.goughnuts.com! I hope this helps you! Ps, my Wheeler has probably had every toy Petco carries & has destroyed every one of them, the fire hose lasted about 5 minutes, LOL

I have not heard of goughnuts...they sound interesting. I have found that any of the toys that last are more costly. I paid $25 for an elk antler but it will last for a long time. I haven't told my husband how much I pay for some of these things! He still thinks a pair of shoes shouldn't cost over $25  LOL!!

I forgot to mention, they are more of a chew toy then a play toy, they are kinda heavy in weight, somehow my boys still manage to play tug with the retriever stick though!

These sound great! She likes the nylabones so I'm sure she would love these. Thanks!!

we just bought stew bones filled with what looks like chicken pate. I'm hopingit goves us atleast 30 mins to sit in peace and quiet. Sophie seems super into luna wants nothing to do with it.

Well we got through 2 whole tv shows with only 2 potty breaks. Luna finally got into the bone that Sophie softened up and wouldn't even go out to potty. They will definitely make an appearance tomorrow night. I may need to find out what the filling is so I can make more and refill them. Another great thing is they don't really smell like anything at least to me.

Our trainer recommended the Galileo bone and if you pick one up you will realize why! The thing is hard as a rock, also Noe loves a good sturdy hollow bone with some treats stuffed in it to entice her to chew.

Cassie loved Nylabones. I bought a lot of them because as soon as she chewed them down a bit, I panicked and threw them out. I have bought a few West Paw toys to have ready for the new puppy when I get her. Always trying to find made in USA toys.

Kong Wubba Friend Rabbit..the only toy that Lilly hasn't destroyed in the last six months.  We have had it for a few days now. She pulled the stuffing out of the nose but everything else is intact- and this is a dog that can chew a toy in 8 seconds.  The bully sticks that used to last a month, now lasts a couple of days. She still gets them as a special treat. Hope this helps.
