Miss Beasley is 6 months old and I still can't say I'm happy with her food, seems like the food will have somethings good yet missing other things ..I want her healthy with a shinny coat ...I was wondering what you all feed your doodles

I feed Kallie Costco Puppy Food. There is a DK food group that has lots of advice on this.
Michele,
The breeder who we're getting our puppy from in April recommends the CostCo food highly - which food do you purchase? I know there are several options at Costco. I'm trying to plan ahead and I want to get a good quality food that's also cost effective.
Thanks in advance.

Welcome to Doodle Kisses, Tina! You will have lots of fun with your pup! I was out in Oregon last fall, since my family lives out there, Eugene, Medford, Sisters, Enterprise, and Portland. So many dog friendly places to enjoy with your Doodle. There are quite a few Doodle owners in Oregon, as you will find from this site.Check out the Portland Area group and Oregon group here on DK. Costco only has one kind of puppy food where I live,(Kirkland brand) and Kallie liked it, and never had any digestive or elimination issues on it. Now that she's one, I have switched her to Costco's Kirkland Nature's Domain. We have had both the salmon and sweet potato and turkey and sweet potato. (I think she likes the salmon better). You might think about getting a Kong Wobbler, which is a fun way for them to eat and entertain themselves, and not gulp down the food.
Thanks, Michele.
There are definitely a lot of doodle breeders around the State, so it doesn't surprise me that there are a lot of doodle owners. ;)
I think Nature's Domain is the food our breeder recommends and I will look into a Kong Wobbler for sure. You also anticipated another question I had. Do puppies have to be fed a special puppy food? I may go ahead and get something beside the Costco puppy food, as I am not sure it is as good a quality as the Nature's Domain.
Glad you've enjoyed your visits to Oregon. It is beautiful here! Your dog is sweet, too!
You're right the puppy food is more like the other Costco dog food, with rice and grains, and the Nature's Domain is grain free. If you check out the DK Food group, you will see lots of suggestions as far as the best foods(Orijen seems to be most popular).Chewy.com is a popular mail order place to buy food as well. Puppies need more calories per pound of body weight, and most probably feed their puppy the puppy food until they have stopped growing, maybe 9-12 months. But Karen, the expert in the food group posted that high quality adult food is fine for puppies too, since there is not that much nutritional difference. However, since sources of ingredients for Kirkland is unknown, it is not on the recommended list.
Thank you, Michele. I will check into Orijen and other puppy foods recommended by the group on Chewy.com.
Ruepunzel is also on Orijen. She can't seem to get enough of it!
I was feeding Bob Blue Buffalo, but switched to Fromm. I like that I can change the flavor of the food for him without having to transition. And Chewy.com makes it super easy with their auto-ship feature. I also chose Fromm because it's family owned in Wisconsin and they only use food products from the US. No Chinese chicken for Bob!
Dory eats Taste Of The Wild. When she was younger she was pooping 6 times a day and it was suggested that I find a food with less fiber. Taste Of The Wild was on the list of recommended brands and had less fiber. She doesn't seem too crazy about it though. I've tried all of the varieties and she never finishes a serving in one sitting. I don't know if she's just jumped on the "small plates" bandwagon or if she doesn't really like the way it tastes.
