Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
Hi! This is Charlie, and he's a mini f1b goldendoodle. His dad is a miniature poodle, and his mom is a 30 pound f1 goldendoodle. However, his mom has the retriever look and you would never know by looking at her that she has any poodle in her. So far, charlie is 14 1/2 weeks old and he weighs 15.5 pounds. His weight range is supposed to be 20-25 pounds, but I think he'll for sure be 30-40. What do you guys think? Does anybody have a doodle with this coloring as a puppy, and a pic of what they look like now? Do you think his fur will stay shaggy/waivy, fleece-like as it is not? Thanks for the input!

Ok so 1 more question... Charlie is now 16 weeks old, and he is 18 pounds. Originally, I was told he'd be 20-25 pounds (ha!) but i'm thinking about 40 now. It's crazy because his parents (miniature poodle and 25 pound goldendoodle) have only bred once before him, and the pups ranged from 13-30 pounds. I just can't believe a pup with his parents is 13 pounds full grown! Everyone I meet likes to give me opinions on his size, and I get anywhere from 25-30 pounds to 50ish pounds! I trust this community the most, and I respect everyone's opinion on here :) What do you guys think about his size? This is him now (taken in the last week or so) 15-16 Weeks:
40 pounds seems a very reasonable assumption.
AW! Don't know how much he weighs but he is adorable! I brought my standard goldendoodle home at 16 weeks and he was around 25lbs so I think your doodle will be small. Lucky's mom is f1 60 lb goldendoodle and his father is a 30-35lb medium poodle. I'm thinking he is going to be at least 60 lbs. People seem to have that formula for 4-month-old puppies. Weight at 4 months multiply by 2 and add 7. I'm not sure it is entirely accurate. Lucky is currently almost 6 months and only weighs 35 lbs.
Thank you!! I've heard that as well- i'm assuming it's their 4 month weight though and not their 16 week weight, which is a 2 week difference for him. Charlie won't be 4 months until September 16th so he'll probably be 19 pounds at least by then, which puts him at 38-48 pounds. I actually wanted a dog in that weight range, but I LOVED both of Charlie's parents, and wanted a puppy from their litter even though they were supposed to be smaller than I originally wanted. I'm getting exactly what I wanted now, and more :)
He ended up being exactly 20 pounds at 4 months!
Charlie is adorable. Nice first haircut!
Thank you!! we just did the puppy cut... i'm going to be a nervous wreck when he gets his first real groom!!
