Lloyd from 9 weeks to 4 months

Here's the progression of Lloyd from 9 weeks to 4 months. He doesn't have much facial furnishings around the eyes but he's got some "wings" on his cheeks. He's got wispy hairs sticking out all over the place and is shedding a bit - mostly on black clothes and I see some dust bunnies rolling around. It's not too bad considering we used to have 2 highly shedding pugs. His fur is very soft and mostly fleecy especially around his neck, shoulders and sides. He's already getting some golden retriever feathering behind his hind legs. At his last vet check he was 20lbs even, so I guess he'll end up about 50 lbs?

Still have no clue what he'll look like when he grows. I wonder if he'll get a doodle-y face? It'll be interesting!

sweet, sweet puppy! lloyd looks a lot of like my yogi did as a baby. yogi just turned one and looked like a golden retriever without much hint of his doodle DNA for a long time. the only 'proof' of his doolehood were pronounced wings on his cheeks that began to grow around 11 weeks. he also sprouted crazy tufts of long spiky wispy hairs all over his body, much like your little boy. we had no idea what to make of his coat!

i think lloyd will doodle out beautifully. he does look like he has a similar coat to yogi, who is now a very scruffy doodle with a full beard and facial furnishings. yogi's hair is long, and wavy-ish. definitely not curly, but there's no question that he's a doodle! check out the photos on my page. enjoy him!!!!

Oh my! Both Yogi and Fozzie are absolutely adorable! They both have the doodley look I hope Lloyd will achieve. Thanks for giving me hope! Lloyd still doesn't have much furnishings around the bottom corners of his eyes but he definitely has the wings and the eyebrows. Some sprouts seems to be growing out of his snout now too. What a fun process!

thank you! i really think lloyd will doodle out! he is the spitting image of yogi at that age. my advice to you is take a lot of photos... every doodle grows into their coats at their own pace and in their own ways. it's a lot of fun to watch! in a few months, lloyd's baby photos will probably be unrecognizable to you! have fun!
