Strange Coat Experience?

Hello Everyone,

Does anyone have any predictions or experience with a strange coat like this one? This is Max, he is nearly four months old and seams to have two types of coats. He doesn't have a beard but appears to be getting a little growth just below his mouth.

Hamilton looked just like that at his age! 

He never got 'doodley' but he is the sweetest dog I've ever known! I was hoping he would get his furnishings and at 8 months he still hasn't, but I wouldn't trade that for anything as his personality is so obedient, kind and playful.

Skate had wavy hair on face then back. The sides and legs were last to doodle.

Thank you both. I looked at your photos of Kate, and Max appears the have the same coat. The only difference I see is his lack of a beard.

When we were looking we actually wanted a lab like doodle. She had the most hair on her face. When I went to get her she was the last. I’m so glad. She’s great and her coat is cute but low maintenance. We have her clipped when the dreaded stick tites are out because she will collect seeds. They actually eat the different seeds just like the deer. That’s what happens in the country. Your pup is so cute. Happy doodling.
