Will I doodle out?

[Jen & Hudson]

Hudson is an 8 week old standard F1B goldendoodle. His mother is a goldendoodle and his father is a poodle. There were 8 pups in the litter. Six were very curly pups and the other two had straighter coats. Hudson is one of the straighter coat pups.

Will he doodle out? I have attached a few pics from 7-8 weeks old. All predictions welcome!!

Now to answer your question, I would guess YES.  I think he will doodle out nicely. Look at the long strands of hair on his snout that are growing over his eyes...those  and other long hairs around his face are called "facial furnishings" and he definitely has them which suggests he will doodle out :-)  He's got some wave around his ears and his leg hair is not short like a retriever.  It will all grow longer and he will be doodley :-)

I don't know about "doodling out", but he's really adorable and I can only imagine that he'll keep getting cuter....plus you'll be so in love that it really won't matter anyway.

He has got the cuteness factor down 100%! Looks very much like my Enzo did at this age...and she is pretty " Doodley"! Enzo is a F1.

Thanks, Adina, for the pic tip. And thanks everyone for your replies. I chose him based on his temperament and have no preference re his coat type. I'm just curious and am excited to see how he develops. I wanted a confident boy who would be able to handle big city life in Chicago and I certainly got what I was looking for, and more!

Oh absolutely. I would not call him a straight haired at all. Man, how curly must have the other puppies be?!? :-)

He will be a gorgeous fluffy doodle one day soon. It's so fun to see them change from day to day.

The curly pups in the litter had tight ripples when they were born and were already very curly at 7-8 weeks. The straighter two pups stuck out like sore thumbs. Even in the week since I've had Hudson I'm now noticing his fur starting to look shaggier, like it's trying to curl a bit. I love this journey!

Jen here is a pic of my F1 Harley at 9 weeks.  I'll post another of what he looks like now.
