I'm curious as to how much you feed your doodle daily and how much you would estimate it costs to feed your doodle monthly?  Please indicate your dog's weight and activity level.  I'm trying to figure out how raw will compare to feeding Honest Kitchen in price. Right now Jake (50lbs at 10 months and very active) goes through about $90 of food every 2.5 weeks.  Of course feeding what is best for him is what I'm most concerned about, but I wouldn't mind cutting back how much I spend on his food if possible!!  Thank you in advance for sharing!!

My breeder told me just today that pups need about 300 grams of food a day, devided by three, so 100 grams per meal. A chicken back about the size of your palm. I have given Marrabelle some carrot and a little apple, as well. I tend to feed her the pree ground raw for breakfast and lunch, then I give her a chicken back or thigh for her dinner. I plan on feeding her vennasen and beef lamb all I can. I bought some plain higher fat yogurt today that I will give once a week or so with some apple pieces or something. Apparently some meats weigh differently so I will be buying a cheap little scale to weigh her food. I find it only costs a few dollars a day but you have to look for deals, talk to your local butchers, and continue getting Ideas from all the awesome people here. Hope that helps.

Your doodle is quite a bit older so of course you'd prob be more in line with how much Kimmi feeds Chewy, Marabelle is only 9 weeks.

We pay $1lb and feed each of our dogs 2-4% of body weight, which is 1-3lbs per day = $60/month per dog on average. Our recommendation on how much is 10-15% of body weight for puppies and transition down to 2-4% of adult weight.

Good Luck!!
