Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
Does anyone have any recommendations for a good vet in the city? My pup comes home on Aug 16th, and i wanted to see if i could find someone closer in the city as opposed to on the peninsula by my parents place.
Thanks!

You have quite a cutie there . . .
I have been going to the BEST guy for the past 20 years . . . I would not trust another vet to care for my best friend either dog or cat . . .
His name is Paul Bannow and he is at the Sunset Veterinary Clinic @ 3741 Noriega Street between 44th & 45th - 1.415.753.2884 . . . there are a couple of other vets in the practice, but Paul is definitely the best by far!
I live in Oakland now (the past 4 years) and still only take my labradoodle and cat to see him.
Good luck . . .
Thanks guys! I live in Cow Hollow, so i was trying to find something in the area. I found DR. Adam Behrens, VMD. He owns wanderingvet.com.
Are these prices standard? "The appointment/exam is $150. Vaccines are $25/injection, fecal tests are $45" ?
Hi Mona,
We use Dr. Sherman Wong at Blue Cross Pet Hospital and we like him a lot (came from 2 recommendations). I don't remember how much the exam or injections were...but Bellow had a fecal exam which was about $40 or $50. We've brought Bellow to the vet a couple of times (he is 8 months old) after his normal check ups since he has a really sensitive stomach and gets diarrhea easily, and I think those vet visits were $60 each. He also picks up the phone if you call early and he gave me a free consult.
