We haven't taken Charlie to a groomer yet (he is 7 months old) but have done some trimming around eyes and feet ourselves. I think he is need of a sanitary trim (asap) and a nail trim. I don't mind driving a bit (pprox. 30 mins away) if you highly recommend your groomer.....

We have definitely tried more than our share of groomers! About a year ago Bark in Style in Seattle, Wallingford area, was recommended to us. Simon's been going there ever since. There's 3 female groomers there & all 3 are very nice and do a GREAT job.

Thanks for all of the recommendations....we ended up going to the Dog S'Paw in Black Diamond/Auburn and had good results for our first full groom. She charged me $85 (a little pricey for me) for 2 hrs. I didn't want him clipped short or anything shaved on his face so I asked her to scissor about 1 1/2 inches off and he came out looking almost like he did when I left him. It was amazing how a blowout and trimming the hair around his eyes changed his whole look. Plus he looked quite a bit whiter. One thing I liked about her was that she only takes 1-2 dogs at a time so it was nice and quiet when I dropped/picked him up. One thing I didn't like was that she wasn't very friendly with him. Not that she was mean at all but it would be nice for him to (eventully) get excited when he sees her. We will see how our next visit goes...I think he will be getting a 'summer cut' because I imagine it will be alot easier to manage while we are camping, hiking and swimming. Anyways, I added before and after pictures on my page if you'd like to check Charlie out. :)
P.S. For those of you looking for a groomer in this area - I recently got another recommendation for a groomer in Covington....Pawl's Pet Boutique. I guess she does a handful of doodles.
