I have this calendared.
OKAY Doodle Rompers...we have Nancy, Jolene and Helga taking a break from the holiday crazies and joining us next Sunday, who else will be there for our group photo in Santa hats? (Ro?)
I've let our newest members know of this romp. I hope some of them choose to come.
Thank you Nancy. See you Sunday.
We’ll be there!
Hi all. It is doubtful we will make the Romp tomorrow. We are still on high alert, fire wise, We are still packed and ready to evacuate AGAIN if needed. The Lilac Fire is still only 20% contained and the winds are suppose to pick up today and tomorrow. We just don’f feel comfortable being that far away from the house and our other animals being there. Have a great last 2017 Romp and if you think of it.l.say a Prayer or two for us! Love to all! <3
We'll definitely miss you and we will continue to pray for for you, your home, pets and neighborhood. Be safe, please keep us posted and Merry Christmas. Hugs to you, Stu and Enzo
So I'm beginning to really freak out now. As I was upstairs searching for supplies to finish my Christmas cards I heard Sassy yelp (downstairs), I didn't stop what I was doing but I caught her shortly after movin in the distance into my room. When I got ready to come downstairs again and called her, she whimpered and she is limping AGAIN! Now we haven't played in a while and I've been gone all morning, mom said she's been laying with her big stuffed toy and not really moving around? My sister mentioned her last two dogs started limping and they found cancer (GR and Newfie) I was really hoping just old age but now I'm seriously worried. I was planning on full x-rays during my week off but I'm not gonna wait now. Would it be cruel to keep her leashed the whole timne during the romp tomorrow??
Jolene, I'm so sorry to hear Sassy is limping. There can be so many things that are causing the limping that isn't cancer. See how Sassy is tomorrow, will she be comfortable walking a short distance? If she is still limping she won't want to run and most likely want to be by your side (on a leash) getting comforted. Don't X-rays only show bones? Could it be a torn ligaments? Isn't Sassy only about 6 years old?
The last two romps she's been unable to walk or put any pressure for 2-3 days and its the same front left leg? I can rub and manipulate and she's fine worth it but when she moves or tries to walk on it she yelps, whimpers and dramatically limps? My chiropractor worked on her but i don't think it made a difference? Sassy is clearly ADHD! Today she was really limping and would let off a light yelp now and again then this evening I had to go pick up some meds for mom, she ran out the door and to the truck then back into the house with no issues then as soon as she walked through the front door she stopped, kinda stood for a minute or two then started limping again? She'll most likely want to play but i can keep her contained and if it's too much for her we can come home. I'll see how she's doing in the morning. I figured i start with x-rays and take it from there. Wonder how the vet feels about an mri?? That would probably show the most? Our last vet visit she could barely walk to the office so kirstie carried her then when the vet came in she was all over the place and walked fine (vet thought I was nuts but i'm sure it was pure adrenaline). As soon as we walked out the vets office threshold she could barely walk again! I screamed for the vet so he watched from the office, thought maybe soft tissue injury and gave us an anti inflammatory but the fact it's been 3 months, still the same leg, i'm very concerned disgust since she didn't play today? Ya know she's slight talker then the doggie door, wonder if there could be a connection?? She tears out of the back door all the time??
We missed seeing Ro, Stu and Enzo because they were still in high alert fire mode. Tragically 3 of their neighbors homes burned to the ground.
We had 13 Doodles at Brunch and many families stopping by and inquiring about our Pooches.
At the Romp we had 'Santa' who shortened his beard and tried to come incognito...but as soon as 'Santa' said "HO HO HO" we knew it was Santa taking a break from his busy schedule.
