Hershey got her 1st professional groom from SWEET PAWS Pet Grooming in Orange, Just off the 55 fwy at E. Chapman/Yorba. Melody Michel is the owner and groomer. She knows how to use scissors for scissor cuts. She cut Hershey's hair on her body 2 1/4 inches long. She also listens to want you want.
This is Hershey (3.5 yrs old 17 lbs) with the "just from the groomer fluffy look". The waves/curls will be back after she gets wet.

Sydney (13 months old) had LOTS of puppy mats. We spent quite some time getting most of them out. To make it easier for us to keep him mat free we chose a 1 inch body cut for him. Melody at Sweet Paws was the groomer.

Wow! He has gotten so creamy! Gorgeous. He really does have Kona's doodle face and body shape, much more than Hershey. The shortest Kona has gone was just under 2 inches (whatever their longest blade was, but it looked more like Sidney's cut than Hershey's, which I'm sure is because of the uniformity of the clippers.
Kona is finally starting to look like his old shaggy self after his formal grooming a few months ago. But it does get harder to comb him when he is shaggy.

Thanks Carolyn! I actually asked him to smile when he was sitting with Maggie, and this was the result: (They do crack me up....they had been wrestling loudly in the chair when I made them stop and sit and smile. Such good puppies.....sometimes!)
