Brainstorming re Romps

I could really use some input regarding our monthly romps. At the past several romps we have had scant attendance, Granted we did have a rainout and the summer is hot...but I really would like to discuss what changes we could make to make it work for more people. Below are a few suggestions that I would really like to hear your thoughts on. Thank you for participating in this discussion!

1. Is Sunday the best day for the romps?

2. Does the time work? I have had suggestions that in the summer we meet earlier, before it gets hot. I have also had suggestions that we meet in the evening when it is starting to cool down and then go to a dog friendly place afterwards.

3. Door prizes were suggested. And if you think this is a good idea....Is there anyone who is good at getting door prize donations?

4. What frequency? Is once a month too often?

5. Is the 3rd Sunday of the month not a good day? By having the romp on a regular schedule it can be listed as a recurring event. While the flexibility of the group is nice for participating group members, it makes it difficult for our group to grow through listings on event calendars such as newspapers which have a time requirement for submissions prior to the event.
