Hi everyone!  Just thought I would ask how all the pups are doing lately?  It's hard to believe that they will be 10 weeks old this coming Tuesday... holy cow these weeks go fast!

Charlie has been doing very good lately.  I had surgery this past Wednesday and was off work the rest of the week.  We had a lot of time to bond!  He has been following me non-stop.  I cant walk out of a room without him following.  It's nice to know he respects me as his pack-leader.  We haven't had an accident in the house for 4 days now (that is a record!) and since we have moved his crate into our bedroom we are getting more sleep.  He still gets up at least once a night... we are hoping that will come to an end soon!  I just cant believe how big he is getting!  We have our next round of vaccinations on Tuesday.  I am anxious to see how much weight he has gained.  We still have trouble when we leave him to go out or to goto work.  He cries hysterically everytime.  I was hoping he would be used to this by now... but no luck yet.  Any tips on getting him to be more relaxed when we leave?

I look forward to hear how Charlie's siblings are doing!  Even the older siblings!!! :)

Hi All

Jillian good to hear Charlie is settling in. I hope your doing well. Sound like Charlie is on the same path as Grady. Although I think we had a accident reset yesterday : -( Back to one day. When he is playing with the kids for a while he needs a brake to go out, but would rather play and then they miss the “signs“ ooops to late. We tried to change the place that he went potty and this increased the accidents to about 2 or 3 a day. We quickly went back to were we had him going and everything is normal again. One every so many days.

I hope everyone else is starting to see the progress as well. I think Grady is up to 14 or 15 pounds. We will find out on Wednesday as he has an appointment. We will let you know. We are still letting him eat all he wants but will ask the Vet for a tighter feeding schedule if he needs it. It is so hard to believe we picked him up at 6.5 pounds! He now goes both up and down the stairs, which seems like no big deal, but he couldn’t do either for some time, then it was only up, no down.

He now makes the full walk back to the ice. This is about a mile each way. He doesn’t seem tired when he gets back. He loves running on the ice and when he tries to stop he slides for quite some time. Very funny. He doesn’t stay out on the ice long, still to cold for extended time on the ice. But as long as he is running around he seems to love it and stays warm.

I look forward to hearing how everyone else is doing. I’ll post some more current pictures as well.
Post the weigh on "Puppy Madness / Weight up-date" discussion :-) Charlie was 13.7 lb @ 10&1/2 weeks.
I hope you are feeling well Jillian!
Hello All

I am updating Grady’s 10 week appointment. New weight 3 days after his 10 week - 15.6 pounds. As I said he had done great, but the lab test on the stool came back positive for Round Worm. I asked the Vet were he would have got the Round Worm and they say it is very common to get in the uterus from the mother. I then asked why the worming he got from the Vet before us picking him up didn’t get rid of them. They said it is very usual for the worming to take two treatments and I should consider this treatment number two :- )

I also started Grady on a “Raw Food Diet”. I have spoken to many friends and some who show there dogs. The vet has no trouble with it and said many swear by it. I figure for the first year it would be good for his hips and joints seems to help his coat as well.

I am still feeding him three times a day. Morning meal Kibble, Noon “RFD” and evening Kibble again. I let him eat as much as he wants for 30 minutes on the Kibble. He still doesn’t go crazy when I give him his Kibble and he is given a measured amount of “RFD“ which he eats until its gone. (no surprise here:-)

The RFD Grady is eating at the moment is Bravo. www.bravorawdiet.com I give him the Bravo “Balance”. I give him one 4 oz patty for lunch but will most likely have to go too two soon. I am going to figure cost per day for the Kibble/RFD combo. I think I am at about $1.25 a day at the moment. There are several other brands some people say they rotate through a few of them. I wonder what everyone else is doing for food. Any thoughts or opinions on food?

Hope everyone is well rested these days! Hope all the puppy’s are doing well!
