Mmmmm, It's starnge.... Is Bear F1? Charlie's birthday is 12/16/08. She is Katie's pup, but I know that they had a female Choc. Lab there, too.( They later sold her)

You know I just realized Kyoko, Bear was from the same litter......December 9, 2008. I guess this is a lot pups for mom. I really do not know what is too many though since I have never bred. But I know for Tyler (mini poodle) there was 2 years between the 1st and 2nd litter.....but the mom was only a (toy poodle). So does it go the same for the larger breeds too?

That sounds like too many litters for Mom to have in 2 years!!! Yikes... That concerns me...

Wow.....This will be the 5th or 6th litter in 2 years? Charlie is 17 months and this will be the third litter after her.....

Congratulations !!!! I guess Charlie didn’t deter you :- ) This is good, children are like puppies magnified! Enjoy the first pregnancy if you go on and have more you will not have the freedom to sleep, relax or just veg at will.

Hi Tina glad to hear Jack is doing well. Get those pictures up. Looking forward to them.

Grady at 50lbs is perfect but I have this feeling he will grow and that’s ok too. We have not trimmed him yet but have brushed him regularly to thin out his hair. So far so good but I am looking forward to pictures. When we walk him he will find any little mud or water and just plop down in it. He ends up one big mud ball. A bath will follow, I think he is onto something.(He likes his bath)

Thanks all for the thoughts on Grady’s paws. He really did quite well after the first day. A bit of limping for 3 or 4 days. He actually likes his shoes and knows he is going out back for a swim if we put them on : -)

Hope everyone is well and having fun!

It's so good to hear from everyone. Glad Grady recovered from his incedent, poor baby. Congrats Jillian, I'm sure Charlie will be great with the new baby, Jack LOVES kids. Jack is 47lbs and I feel your pain about the hair cut drama. After a quick trip to the dog park yesterday, I decided that it was too hot outside for Jack and that he needed a hair-cut, so I went to Walmart and bought some doggie clippers. He did really well for about an hour but then decided he was done. Needless to say, I have a doodle with a shaved body but not his head, he looks like a lion! Poor Jack, I’ll have to post a picture of it before I finish the cut tonight.

Hi everyone!

So glad to hear Grady is doing ok now. That must have been so scary for him... and for you! I'm happy he made a full recovery!

That is so ironic that Bear just visited a "doggie daycare" facility... because Charlie just did the same! Charlie went to Camp Bow Wow and LOVED it! The people there are SO warm and welcoming. You can just tell they LOVE dogs and that is so important to me. Charlie will be staying there while my husband and I are away next month. We are also thinking about taking Charlie there 1 day a week for the day care so he gets some exercise and interaction with other dogs. He comes home from that place absolutely spent and sleeps for quite a long time. It's so nice to have him tuckered out like that!

We just got Charlie shaved for the summer. BIG mistake. Wont be doing that again! I know he needed it but he doesnt look like the same dog! I literally cried when I picked him up from the groomers. I want his long locks back so bad... and I know they will come back in time. He just looks so darn goofy right now!

Charlie weighs about 45 pounds (I thought he would be bigger by now, but oh well). We are starting round 2 of training classes in June. I just found out I am expecting and will be due around Charlie's 1st birthday, so I need Charlie to be as trained as he can be when the baby comes. I still think I will have 2 "babies" for a while... at least until Charlie is a little older, haha.

I will get some new pics up soon... especially the ones of Charlie shaved. It's funny!

Hello family :) It has been a while since I have been on, but I have been on checking out everyone's comments and posts. For the first time ever, Bear went to the Barkley Hotel and Spa from Thursday to Saturday. We had a wedding on Friday and I felt bad that Bear would not get the attention he usually does. So he stayed at the Barkley. He stayed in the Barkley Park area and we were able to see him on th webcam. When I called to check on him, I was told he was a little nervous but soon was fine. He ended up getting a bath before we picked him up. When he got home he was TOTALLY exhausted and slept most of the afternoon.

I am really thinking about putting him in the doggy daycare a few times during the summer so he can socialize a little more. I hope you all are doing well and hope to hear from you soon!!!

With deepest love, Holly and Bear
