UPDATE on the little girl in my class!

I spoke with Genesis' mom today and she will be back in school on Monday. (She actually told her mom she should come backtoday because we always have a spelling test on Fridays! LOL).  She still has a bandage between her eyes and that is the worst part.  She will need more plastic surgery in about a year.  But the rest is coming along nicely and only band aids cover the stitches.  The swelling and bruising have gone away.  She is excited to come back and (as she looks in the mirror at her cuts when changing bandages), she says she is very happy her 'cuts are getting smaller'.  The rest of the class was great when I told them what happened and can't wait for their friend to come back to school!  Kids are just wondrous... they have a compassion much deeper than some adults.  One little boy told me, I think she'll be perfect just the way she is!  It's the inside that counts!  I wanted to cry.  THANK YOU ALL for your prayers and good thoughts, but most of all for YOUR support!  You all are pretty wondrous too!
