My almost 13 month old goldendoodle is not eating like he used to. In the last few weeks he has not eaten anything in the morning and will eat all his food late afternoon and early evening. Today he has hardly touched it at all. We switched from Fromm puppy to Fromm adult food about 2 months ago. He is active, drinking water, playful, sleeping fine - it is just the eating piece that is bothering me. When he was on the puppy food he would eat what was served in one sitting. Ever since we switched he is nibbling. Is this normal?

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

It's normal for them to slow down their eating as they get older and their growth slows down. Your GD has completed his skeletal growth and doesn't need as many calories. Also, a lot of dogs go through periods when they seem to be more or less hungry; it can be seasonal, too. Make sure that you are giving him the correct amount of the new food according to the package guidelines, and you can even cut back a little if he doesn't seem interested.
My 6 year old doodle goes through times when he eats all the food the minute it hits the bowl, and times when breakfast sits until dinner time. If everything else seems okay with your doodle, I wouldn't worry.

Thanks for the insight and encouragement!

Just to add another data point, Teddy did this a couple of months ago. He wasn't eating all day and only finishing his food at night. I posted about it (I think in the puppy group) and got some good advice. I had switched him to Acana food and he still wasn't eating during the day. Then we got him neutered, and to encourage him to eat the day after his surgery, I mixed his food with yogurt. He yummed it up! We kept mixing with yogurt for a few days and gave him dry food and he ate it up too. Now he eats all his food right away. I don't know if it was the yogurt or being deprived of food the day of surgery, or if it was just a phase.
Luca eats this way. He often eats the last part late at night.
Stacy we had the same thing with Maddie.  She went through a period at about the same age where she didn't touch her food for hours in the morning and sometimes only ate about one cup per day.  She was otherwise healthy, active and drinking as usual so I really didn't worry. She is and has been for quite a while back to eating her 2 cups per day.
