Wow, what a nice thing to do! 

Chewy amazes me. I had ordered a lifting harness for Jack which didn't fit him. When I called Chewy to find out how to return it, they told me they would credit me the full amount, but not to worry about returning it; they told me to just donate it to a local rescue or shelter! I don't even know how they stay in business, lol, but apparently excellent customer service can work well for a company; too bad they don;t all realize that!

Chewy has been great to me as well. They told me to donate a crate I had received when I decided to order a different one. They will also give you a free bag of Orijen food after you have ordered 12 bags. You will have to call them and tell them when you order the 13th bag. The free bag will be equivalent to your previous bags.

Not to take anything away from Chewy, but that's Orijen's frequent buyer program, and it should be available from any retailer who sells the food. :)

I found the post, here's what it said:

"For all animal owners out there, please take the time to read what I'm about to say. As most of you know I lost my dog recently. I ordered dog food through a company called Chewy.com
I received 60 pounds of dog food delivered to my door the day before my dog passed away. I emailed the company to let them know I needed to cancel my subscription because my dog passed away and I no longerI had any animals in the household. Later that day they responded to my email with a heart felt response--In that letter they told me they were going to credit The dog food they sent to me, they said they did not want it sent back to them, that I should donate it to a shelter in Jake's name. I was very impressed with this company. But it doesn't end there. A few days later I came home from work and flowers were delivered to my home the picture below is the flowers the company sent to me again with condolences on the loss of my furry family member.
I cannot say enough fabulous things about this company. I am placing this on Facebook because I want as many people to know this is a company that you should use if you need dog food. 
It is nice to know companies truly care.
