Chunk of Marrow Bone is Missing!!!

Errrrrrr, ok, so it seems she actually got a chunk out of the marrow bone! It was the thinner edge, and now it's sharp....I am freaking out!!!! I'm not going to run her to the vet just yet, but has this happened to anyone else? She is not exactly a monster chewer, so it must have been fairly soft....

How big was the piece she got, and was it the harder outside part or the softer, more porous inside part?

Hard outside, maybe the size of half a pinky-nail. I phoned the vet, she wasn't particularly worried since it was such a small piece. She said there might be some loose stool. I am going to ask the butcher to cut off the ends of the bones next time, so she can just have the thick middle part.

I also don't think you have anything to worry about. Jack has often gotten teensy pieces from the edges of the bones.
