I have determined that my little girl has food allergies. After numerous ear infections. I added yogurt to her kibble. Not only is this great for her...she loves it. Ear infections are non-exisitant. Next, I went for a grain free kibble. Taste of the Wild Salmon. No allergy. She showed me ealry on that she likes a variety. Thus, I need to swtich flavors. Every other bag. She is not doing well on the Bison. Has not done well on Chicken based either. Itching and scratching like crazy.

My question...is there a brand or brands that make a variety of fish based kibble. Again, I am using a grain free presently, but the grain does not seem to be the issue as she has had it before. It's the  meats.

Thanks!

Orijen 6 Fish formula is grain-free and contains no meat or poultry.
Wellness Core Ocean Fish formula is also meat, poultry, and grain free.
Natural Balance Sweet Potato & Fish and Fromm Surf & turf, Salmon and duck, both are grain free. I'm thinking of switching Camus to Fromm.
Surf and Turf is the only Fromm formula that does not contain grain. It does contain duck, so if you want a strictly fish-based formula without poultry or meat, it would not work.
I would not recommend the Natural Balance foods for dogs that can tolerate other formulas, as they are extremely low in protein.
What about Canidae Salmon or Acana Pacifica? Both are fish only from what I can tell.
Yes- both of these would work, too. Make sure it's the Canidae Grain-free Salmon formula.
Thank you! I will investigate. :).
Evo has a fish grain-free kibble. The concern with it is that it recently was bought out by Proctor and Gamble.
Be aware that by law, a company can change a formula and not disclose it on the packaging for six months; in other words, what is in the bag is different from the label information. This is a business-friendly way to allow the company to use up the old bags.
Also, the formula may not change, but the source of the ingredients definitely will. P & G is going to outsource ingredients without doubt. This was the problem with the melamine in 2007. Here, too, you have no way of knowing; the company is free to tell you if they use imported ingredients, but they do not have to tell you. And the stores will not be pulling anything from the shelves unless a whole lot of dogs get sick and/or die first...just like every other recall, because the store doesn't know, either.
In fact, stores do not buy the products directly from the manufacturers; they buy them from distributors.
I think your plan is a good one. Orijen is the only food my picky guy has ever consistently eaten with any enthusiasm.
I am sure you are fine with the bags you already have, and probably anything that's currently on store shelves. They are not going to make changes too fast, if they're smart. And I really hope they are smart; the proof of my impartiality in this issue is that I have a few shares of P & G stock. Our dogs' safety is more important to me, lol.
LOL!!!!
