On occasion my dog won't drink.  Today, for example, it's 3PM and she's had nothing.  I bring the bowl to her but she just turns up her nose at it.  She's tired b/c she was at daycare yesterday so I don't think there's really anything wrong, I just want her to drink to ward off any dehydration.

I'm thinking of boiling a hot dog in water and then cooling it to entice her to drink.  There shouldn't be any issue with that, should there be?  She gets pieces of hot dog on occasion for treats, so if she eats the actual dog, the water couldn't hurt.  Right?

Thanks everyone!  The hot dog water worked perfectly.  It was really diluted by the time it got to her since I cooled it down with a ton of ice cubes.  I can't imagine it had more than a hint of hot dog essence, but it was enough to get her to drink it all up.  She's had regular water since so no worries about it spoiling her.

When I feel that Biba isn't drinking enough, we add a 1/2 or 1 cup of water to her dog food or mix 1-2 tablespoons of yogurt to a cup of water and let her have that a couple of times a day and let her regulate the rest.
