Can those of you who homecook please post photos of some of your meals? We are thinking it's time to change the photo on the main page, maybe rotate it occasionally to showcase some of your homecooked creations. Thanks, Dark Siders!
I agree. Whenever I first glance at this picture it looks like something that had previously been eaten, not to offend anyone. After I look closer I see all the healthful tidbits and I'm sure it's doodlicious.
You bet....I have to make a new batch today so I'll get the camera out.
Glad to have found this group. I have been homecooking one meal a day for my three doodles. I am getting more comfortable as I go along. I have bought several books on homecooking and have learned something from each of them. I am not yet at the point that I feel comfortable going "raw" or giving RMB, so everything the boys get is cooked. On thing that seems to be consistent in all the books is that if you are not giving them Raw Meaty Bones then you need to make sure to add bone meal to most of the meals. With three doodles weighing in at over 200 collective pounds (2 weigh about 60 lbs and the third is 100 lbs), one meal a day is all that I can handle right now. They eat EVERYTHING I have homecooked for them.

This picture is of "Canine Quiche". The recipe was posted on Facebook by "The Honest Kitchen". I've only made this twice since it really needs to be eaten fresh from the oven - after it's cooled down.

Looks yummy....I think I'd have trouble keeping my DH away from it! Are you going to post the recipe in the DK Cookbook? I'd love to try it.
I would be glad to post the recipe. I haven't posted here much. Should I go to the DK Cookbook and post it under the Dinner recipes?
That would be great, Elise. It looks good enough to eat myself.
Yup, and thanks! My Doods will be very grateful....
Here's a "batch" of food I made last night for Guinness. I make this recipe often, and he loves it. It's very basic. I boil chicken breasts with brown rice, tri color pasta, peas, and carrots. I always save the broth and include it. I add a little fresh parsley for their breath. I add salmon oil and a supplement to his evening meal as well.

Shoot. I want that, it looks good LOL
Looks delicious!!!
We've found our new group photo! Thanks, Jane!
