Well, we have been doing so well and not needing to ask for advice (that's nice!), but Molly stole a muffin and now has diarrhea. She NEVER has table food, only Orijen Puppy Food. In fact, she had her "attack" right on my son's favorite bean bag chair. That was just...awesome. So, I have pumpkin cubes stored in the freezer and they are about 2 tbsp. each. She weighs 17 lbs. and is about 5 months old. I gave her one cube. First, how long will this diarrhea go on? I'm under the weather myself, so this is extra awesome! =) Second, is that the appropriate amount of pumpkin for her size? Poor pup.

First, when did she eat the muffin, and what kind of muffin was it? Do you know the ingredients? Did it contain raisins?
Are you certain she only ate one muffin? It would be very strange for one muffin to cause diarrhea for more than a day.
Pumpkin isn't a cure for anything. It's given because it's high in fiber, and fiber helps regulate stools. I would think it would work better if wasn't frozen, but I'm not sure. You can also use mashed sweet potatoes. There isn't any certain dose, but usually, you give a couple of tablespoons 2 or 3 times a day.
If this is really just a bout of diarrhea from eating one muffin, she should be fine tomorrow.
No raisins, thank goodness. It was a buttery cornmeal based muffin with just a few chocolate chips on top (made at a fancy restaurant on our anniversary trip and I brought it home for the kids). Not enough chocolate to be detrimental, and it wasn't even a huge muffin - one that would fit in small muffin tins. She ate it around 3 pm and diarrhea attack occurred around 7 pm. Unfortunately, I fed her her usual 1/3 cup of kibble at 6 pm (wasn't thinking this muffin was large enough to cause too many issues). It kills me that she even got into it as it was packed in luggage and she had to rifle around to find it. Thank you, Karen, for your input!
It must be something in the air.... my goofy doodle ate 1/2 stick of butter last night. He was counter surfing when I wasn't looking. No trauma of any kind from it though. :)
