Gibbs will be a year old in September and we will run out of his Orijen puppy food before he turns a year old. Should I order more puppy food or move him to adult food prior to being a year old? If puppy food has more calories, he could stand to gain a few lbs., wish I could give him a few of mine. LOL.

Appreciate any input and what is your favorite Orijen adult food?

Thank you!

If you find out just how to transfer those calories and extra weight, let me know!!!! :)

We were in the same boat with Enzo.  I ordered her a bag of Adult Orijen and fed her the entire bag.  She ended up losing 3 lbs!  She was eating her normal amount.  She is one who could also stand to put on some weight, so I went back to the puppy formula, which she is still on.  She has just turned 1 yr.

I think I will order him another bag of puppy food. If I figure out how to donate those extra calories, I'll let you know!
:)

You'd be fine with an adult formula at this point, but there's also nothing wrong with staying with the puppy food, especially if he could still stand to gain weight.

When you do switch to an adult formula, start with the regular Adult formula, which is almost the same as the puppy formula. JD's favorite was the Regional Red, which of course is the most expensive one, lol.

Sounds like JD and Enz share the same expensive taste! ;)
