So I had to switch Charlie (4.5 months) from Great Life grain-free to Fromm Puppy Gold because Great Life was too rich on his tummy and he always had diarrhea.
Well, over the past day, I noticed his stools were starting to get runny. What's odd is that they always appear normal in the morning but are horrible in the evening. Tonight, he had the worst diarrhea I had ever seen. Poor guy :(
He has been on Fromm for about a week now. I feed him 2.5 cups daily and he has two servings. I always mix pumpkin into his food to help with digestion. But now this is just worrying me. What should I do???

I too go to a good vet except when it comes to the food advice. Boris was very ill when he was six months old and I was advised to feed him RX food by the vet. I asked what was in the food that would make him better and if it would be better than the boiled chicken and rice that I could feed him myself. The answer came in a mumbling fashion and at the end of the conversation both the vet and the vet tech had no choice but to agree with me. They have never brought up the subject again. I gained all my knowledge from Karen here on DK. I had read many many posts from people whose dogs had several 'tummy' issues that found the answers here, sometimes after several expensive foods that they had been recommended by their trusty vet. This is the best place to get the best most unbiased advice based on fact and not from someone who turns a buck from 'selling' food in a medical vet practice.
Amen.
