Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
Hi all,
I'm a first-time puppy owner and recently got a 19 week old labradoodle named Ridge. He's the sweetest little guy and loves to play and snuggle. He's been on Life's Abundance since my parents brought him home in California at 12 weeks. He moved to Oregon to live with me at 17 weeks. Since moving to Oregon, he has had stools that start hard and then end very soft for the second half. It doesn't happen every time, but at least once a day. I took him to the vet and he was diagnosed with Giardia (which he had already been tested and treated for once before in CA). He's been on Metronidazole and Panacur for Giardia as well as Proviable-Forte as a probiotic for 6 days. I will have him tested again when he finishes meds, but am wondering if things should be clearing up more than they are at this point?
Before starting meds, I was adding pumpkin to his food which really held things together for him but I've stopped to see how he does without it. Should I keep adding pumpkin anyway?
I am almost out of the Life's Abundance food and wondering if I should switch to something else (both financially and for his health!). I would appreciate any recommendations!
Thank you!
Beth

Another new discussion was started here today that is very similar to yours, and my recommendations there (including food) would go for you as well:
