Quick Q: Fromm 4-Star line

We've always talked about being able to switch flavors between the 4 Star line of foods without transitioning, but some of the flavors are grain free, and some of them are healthy grain. I've only ever fed the healthy grain formulas (not because I'm afraid of DCM, that's just what I've always fed.) But can I, or should I rotate through the grain free formulas too?

Yes, I agree that that particular formula just did not agree with her, for whatever reason. And I really agree that there is absolutely no reason to "take a dog off a perfectly good food that works for them to try something that might not." That just wouldn't make sense.

In the future, if there is some reason she needs to be on a grain-free food, I'd suggest an LID formula. Fromm is a great brand, but they don't make LID formulas and have nothing that would work for a dog who has major digestive issues.

But I hope that never happens.

I really hope that never happens either! I'm really hoping for a healthy dog. But if she is it's just dumb luck, not good breeding. I'd really love to know where people got the idea of hybrid vigor. I have not had that experience!
