Sorry for the expletives in the article title

Looks like we will be changing brands.  I am so mad- Quincy likes their food and has no digestive issues.

Karen, can you (or others in the know here) suggest one that is close to Blue Buffalo Salmon kibble and the Homestyle canned chicken?  thanks everyone

I don't know how close it is to BB Salmon but The Boys have eaten ACANA for years.  They never get tired of it, the company has never had a recall (to the best of my knowledge).  It's the same company that makes Orijen but ACANA has a little less protein and a little less expensive.  The Boys do better with the lower protein but ACANA has plenty anyway.  I order it from Chewy (it's less expensive than buying in the store, free delivery over $49 and no tax unless you're in PA or FL (I think those are the two states.    I don't think they have a canned food.  Costco does their rotisserie chicken in 2-3 lb bags already cooked and we get that and freeze in individual bags (enough in each for the week) to use as a little topper for their dinner.   Sorry for the long post,

The Acana Pacifica and Wellness Core Ocean foods look to be fairly similar in ingredients and percentages of protein/fat/etc. I know that Wellness also has some wet foods, too.

Personally, I have had much success in feeding Winnie Orijen Six Fish. But, it has a higher protein and fat content than what Quincy is used to, so might not be a good option for him.

Lori, which BB Salmon formula is Quincy eating? They have a salmon formula in the Wilderness line, the Basics line, and the Freedom line.

For a canned food, I'd look at Fromm's Four Star Shredded Chicken Entree. Much, much better than the BB canned food. No grain, and no carrageenan, and the nutritional profile is similar.

He eats the salmon Wilderness formula and the Homestyle chicken and beef alternatively.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone! I will transition him over. Still annoyed at BB

Chance has been on Blue Buffalo grain free since he was a puppy.  He has never had a digestive issue but now I need to find a substitute.

The Acana grain free formulas are great.

Thanks--will try it

My husband and I decided to change our Goldendoodle's dog food to a grain-free seafood brand, hoping it would help with his itching and dry skin. Cooper has been eating the new food about 5 weeks and he not only loves it but I have seen a tremendous improvement with the dry skin. I highly recommend Earthborn Holistic dog food because right I am completely satisfied with how Cooper is doing, he has very minimal scratching. Here is a link to the website below. Best of luck to everyone.

I'm really glad to read this! Angus currently eats BB lamb and brown rice, but we'll be switching now. We are planning on going to Earthborn Holistic, but since Angus is still 10 months I'm thinking we'll slowly switch over to the Puppy Vantage until he is a year and then maybe do the Ocean Fusion. Thanks!!

Lovely! (in my most sarcastic tone). Looks like we need a new brand now as well. Chopper never had any digestive issues either. Thanks for posting Lori.
