Has anyone's doodle tried Snack 21 Salmon Skin bones?  I was in the pet store today with Noah and we walked by a box of these that were on the bottom shelf.  Noah got really excited and tried to roll on the box, even though it was on the shelf.  Whenever Noah really likes a food or treat, he rolls on it, so I figured he would really like these.  But I decided not to get these since I was afraid the scales would flake off all over the carpet and my bed.

I haven't seen these, but I am sure going to look for them! this might be something that Pickyfussy Doodle would like!
I would think they must have been processed in some way so the scales don't just fall all over...are we sure the scales haven't been removed from the surface of the skin?
Here's a description with a review; apparently, they last a long time and are safe, but stink to high heaven. I saw another review where they also said to give it to your dog outside, lol!

He might, but my main interest is finding something he will chew...something that will help keep his teeth clean while also occupying him for more than 30 seconds. So I think I will try one of the bones, as soon as it is consistently warrm enough to give it to him out on the patio. I am not too squeamish about smells, but the rest of my household is!
Found these in a pet store while vacationing in Florida last week. Bought one and Molly could smell the treat right through the bag when I got home. She loved it.......but her breath afterwards....yuck! Almost made me gag. What we do for dogs!!!
These sound like something Dalai might like. But I will definitely wait until she can be outside with it.
I've given Max the Salmon Skin (not bone) and my house looked like a day old Mardi Gras party with fish scales and the smell was just too much for me. Bully sticks are heaven "scent" compared to the salmon skin. LOL
Yeah, especially for someone who thinks canned tuna is the height of stinkiness, lol!!!!
When we cooked salmon on the BBQ, my dad used take the skin off the grill and save it to give to his dog. DH and I thought he was out of his mind. Guess he was ahead of his time. Too bad he did not start marketing it back then. Huh!
This looks like something Charlie and Butter would like. What do you think about ethoxyquin, though?
No preservatives, according to the company.
Ethoxyquin is used primarily as a preservative in fish meals.
OK. Sounds good! Thanks!
