Our last bag of Acana food came from an online store and arrived on Wednesday.  One hour after eating his dinner Spud's stomach churned so loud I could hear the rumbles.   Then, Starlit started rumbling.

Diarrhea ever since.  Accidents in the house because it is so quick.  Of course customer service is not in on weekends.

My questions:

  • Does your dog food come in different shapes sometimes?   The last bag looked different from the bag before?  Both bags were Wild Prairie.
  • Anyone else have problems from buying online?
  • Anyone else having problems with this product?

The most recent bag ( left) shaped flat and large.   The previous bag ( right ) round and smaller.

Same product

I am sick of this " sh^&t" literally.  Carpet scrubbers, bleach.....  never have had this before.

And how much the e-mail refers to variations in kibble looks. If he asked for a sample or photo, he would see more that a 'slight' variation. Joanne's kibbles are not the same, no matter what else is going on.
She said "rumor" in the response, so I think they must be getting questions. Hopefully they are not having issues....
I suspect you are right Allyson. I know I personally have been responsible for an email, 2 phone calls directly to Champion and 1 phone call to my distibutor to ask them to push on this one too. I told him that in addition to our personal use I have highly recommended this food not only to all of our puppy families but to countless others and that I do not take that recommendation lightly. I asked for a return phone call which I did get this morning but missed it ;(, she left a message indicating she would try to reach me later. Will report back and will be watching for reports for any others also. There is a large trade show in IL near the end of this week so I am hopeful for an acceptable explanation prior to them departing.
Tuning in late here Joanne, but you said your kibble was Acana and in her email reply she referred to the food as Orijen. Am I missing something?
Just curious - how did Champion respond in the end?
I was once told you should always save your bag in case of recalls. So, I had my bag!! Right along the top of the bags are a small printed lot number. This is also where you would cut the bag to open. So when I had opened the bag I had cut maybe a 1/4 inch of strip off. That little strip contained the lot number.
In order for them to help me, I had to have that number. I had a GIANT bag of food missing 1/4 inch strip--no lot number :(

They are a very CONFIDENT company. I could take this two ways--they are arrogant and did not want to help, or they are so confident in their product they knew nothing was wrong on their end. We are still using Acana for now.
