My GD has had diarrhea for 2.5 weeks now. I took her to the vet 2 weeks ago and he ran tests on stool samples. Said no evidence of parasites or bacterial infection. No fever. Felt and feels well, lots of energy.
He said most likely a case of stress-induced colitis due to the physical stress of the birth etc. He didn't find any health problems whatsoever.
She is 3 weeks post whelping (I am a guardian home). He dx her with vaginitis due to heavy discharge (which may have been normal but it had an odor I didn't feel comfortable with) and put her on Clavimox for 10 days. I added Proviable DC. He also put her on chicken and rice, as well as Science Diet i/d canned. Said he wishes he could use metro but contraindicated in lactating due to possibly toxicity to the puppies...
We are done with all that... She still has soft runny stools. She was eating Honest Kitchen Embark fine, but it started running through her basically undigested when this started. I also was feeding her Chicken Soup dry prior to this. I currently have her on Wellness Puppy dry since she's nursing a litter (of 11 healthy little piglets!). Somewhat less runny but not at all firm.
I'm just looking for advice on how to clear this up! I'm considering one of the limited ingredient diets next... Or maybe Honest Kitchen Zeal? She did great on Embark for a long time until this bump in the road. Suggestions welcome. Am I missing something here?

I have no experience at all with digestive issues related to whelping or with nursing mothers, so I have no idea what could be causing these issues. A limited ingredient diet would probably be a lot better, though. Wellness Simple Solutions is very good LID formula that's very easy on the GI system.
Yes, their Simple Solutions line has 4 different formulas, all LID with a nice nutritional profile, and it's widely available. My guy does very well with the Salmon/Potato formula.
Our new rescue boy has had loose stools and diarrhea since we got him. He is not a lactating new mommy but he has been subject to lots of stress - coming into our home, change in diet, going on a long RV trip ten days later, dog parks, and potty walks on leash (he is reactive while on leash). He did have parasites which were treated. We also gave a Probiotic and pumpkin and he still had problems. We bought a better and more expensive human Probiotic and put him on the Wellness Simple Solutions as Karen suggested. He seems to be getting better.
