Taste of the Wild question

Hi,
I switched Cooper from Solid Gold to Grain Free about 2 months ago. He's doing really well with the grain free. I started with the Acana Grasslands and he really liked it. It is a little pricier than TOTW and TOTW got great reviews from other doodle owners as well as petfoodanalysis. So, this time I switched to the Pacific Stream. Well, Cooper doesn't hate it, but he also doesn't love it. I'm ready to grab another bag, so I was wondering if your doodles had a preference for the other flavors of TOTW.

My dogs seem to prefer the Wetlands formula with fowl. Both of them love it. I orginally bought the High Praire but they got tired of it fast, but seem to really like Wetlands.

I know that a lot of the members who responded to our Food group survey mentioned the Bison/Venison formula, which is the High Prairie formula. Wetlands and Pacific Stream were also mentioned, though.
It seems that dogs either love or hate the fish based foods. Jackdoodle is one who loves them. But if Cooper is more a meat or fowl guy, he may like one of the others better. While the Acana Grasslands does contain fish, the main protein in it is lamb, so if Cooper really liked it, he may prefer the TOTW High Prairie formula, which has lamb meal as the 3rd ingredient after the venison & bison. The Wetlands has duck as it's first ingredient, which a lot of dogs also seem to like.

My dogs like high prairie and wetlands best, I buy a bag of each and alternate between the two every other day

My dog has sampled all the TOTW flavors and his favorite by far is the Prarie formula which contains the Bison and Vension. He won't eat the other formulas.

Have you tried the ACANA prarie? It retails for aprox. $10-12 less a bag than the Grasslands or Pacifica. Additionally remember that ACANA/Orijen have a frequent buyer program, buy 12 and get the 13th free.

I feed Motta and Miley TOTW. They love the High Prairie and the wetland Fowl one. They do not care for the Pacific Stream and refuse to eat it unless I put something on top of it yummy.

However, they do have some gas! Anyone else have gas with TOTW?

Try High Prarie (venison/bison) - my dogs go crazy over it. They don't care for the salmon too much.

Yes, we have gas sometimes, but I don't care because they like it too much! They seem so healthy on it.

I was feeding Chicken Soup dog food - but he quit eating it.
So, I first got my doodle TOTW pacific stream - he liked it much better than the Chicken Soup, but still didn't seem to love it. Then, I tried the Bison/Venison and I really do think he loves it(at least for now anyway). He will eat it plain anytime I give it to him and he doesn't leave a morsel in his bowl.

Yes about the GAS though....

Just bought my dogs TOTW High Prairie Bison/venison and mixed it in their normal food. I thought my puppy was going to go crazy because he could not get it down fast enough!!!

I tried the TOTW bison/venison. Beckett really didn't like it at all. He did like the Fromm salmon I had tried before that. He also liked Innova. I'm giving him Innova now but looking for my next switch. Any suggestions??

We tried the TOTW pacific stream and Raya wasn't a big fan. I switched her to now!, it's grain free, Turkey and Duck and she LOVES it!
