HELP!!!!! I just went to Pet Supplies and found out about the recall. Molly has done so well on Taste of the Wild Pacific Salmon...no loose poops for a year!!!!!! Please suggest what to switch her to immediately that is most similar, or how can I find out ? What of the highly recommended foods has never had a recall? I'm tempted to put her on Orijen, but when she was about 9 months, she had very loose poop from it. Thanks for any suggestions.....

I was just about to check that. BB does very well on the two lower protein formulas, but NOT the two higher protein. Hmm Instinct may not be for us... Orijen is just a bit out of our price range... Back to the drawing board.. We had been considering Canidae, but thats in the recall, too.
Acana is a bit cheaper.
I think a back up plan is a good idea, but I don't think you need to change from TOTW simply because there is a recall. If you, like us, live in an area unaffected by the recall, and TOTW is a good food for your dogs, I don't think you need to panic and change foods. We are not going to change their food at this time because California is NOT one of the states involved and TOTW suits all three of my dogs.
Hello....I also have been using TotW and was loving it. My favorite food is EVO but it is a higher calorie 537. TotW is only 387. Today I checked out most of the grain free foods and Earthborn it my pick. It has 430 calories. Alot of the grain free feeds are higher in calories. I have a litter of Golden Doodles and I was upset that I had to change the feed as I have contacted Diamond Foods since the first recall and they said to keep the puppies on their feed and now it is recalled ugh! I am hoping they will clear up this problem soon. Jaynie in NJ
I am new here and have a 9 weeks old ALD. He was eating Kirkland from the breeders when I brought him home I had purchased both FROMM and TOTW puppy. I fed him the Fromm and he had done exceptionally well on it. I transitioned him in a week. I guess nothing more than a vote for Fromm it is a little pricier than the TOTW but not so much so that it should be an issue. I did not open the TOTW and it's part of the recall so it goes back tomorrow.
My dogs love Fromm and we switch up the formulas to add variety. Glad your puppy is doing so well.
I am unsure of what to do. I took cocoas bad bag of TOTW back last night and got a new one that was not on the recall. But after reading and talking with people today I think we need to swap her food.
Problem is I need a puppy food that is Fish & Grain free because we are not sure if the grain or the chicken was upsetting her tummy so we are trying to avoid both. She did very well on the TOTW Salmon puppy. After talking with my neighbor I think I want to avoid the Diamonds foods now but I have no clue what to feed her and am horrible at reading labels and knowing what is good or not.
Price is also a huge issue we can not afford $50.00 for a 15 pound bag of food. TOTW was only $27 for 15 pounds. I would like to stay at $30.00 15 pound bag or less in price is possible.
