Since the recall, I have had a very hard time finding TOTW Pacific Stream Puppy. I used to order from Amazon and since I am a prime member, it was SO easy. Now Amazon doesn't have it. I found a bag at Wag. Considering switching food because I don't want to use Diamond anymore and because I am having a hard time finding TOTW easily. I am hesitant because Wrigley has done so well on this food. After a horrible first few weeks from various things, his poops are like clockwork now.
Anyone else having trouble finding TOTW?
What's a similar food that's grain-free and salmon based that's also under $50 for a 30lb bag? (though this might now be an issue if they eat less of a more expensive food. My guy is big and I'm feeding him 4 cups a day right now which is the mid-level rec for his age and weight.)
Thanks!

I was on the same food with Cocoa. We swapped over to Earthborn fish and she seems to have no problems with it. The cost is the same per bag but it recomends you feed a little less.
With TOTW I would feed her 1.5 cups in the morning and it was still in her bowl by late afternoon and sometimes some still there by evening feeding. With this Earthborn she is eating it up right away and seems to really like it better.
We switched our dogs from TOTW to Costco's Nature's Domain grain free Salmon and Sweet Potato over a year ago, it's about 1/2 the cost of TOTW and it is very comparable Costco Nature's Domain
Lynne, Nature's Domain (and all Costco foods, including Kirkland's) is made by Diamond Foods and is on the Recall List. The particular batch you are using may not have been affected, but there wouldn't be any point in switching from TOTW because of the Diamond Foods recall issues to another food made by Diamond.
Some people on the East coast have ordered TOTW on line from distributors in California or other West coast areas. Stores in western states receive their TOTW from a California factory so no recall issues.
We were feeding TOTW and just switched over to Earthborn Holistic also.
If you switch to Orijen you will definitely feed less. JD weighs 85 lbs and was eating only three cups per day.
Fromm has a grain-free fish based formula, Salmon Tunalini, lol.
You might also look at Acana Pacifica.
If you check our recommended foods list (link on the main FG page, you can see all the different grain-free formulas and what proteins they contain there.
We were on TOTW also and I want to leave Diamond food now also. I have seen Earthborn in the stores. Has anyone heard of Nutri Source Grain Free dog food or have some feed back on it?
Wendy, we've discussed Nutrisource here before and do not recommend it or the company that makes it. The easiest thing would be for you to do a search in the Food Group discussions for Nutrisource to see all the info, but I can give you a couple of links to past discussions on it:
Here's one, I have to do the search myself to get them:

And here's the search results so you can look through them for other info:

We really do have quite a large selection of foods on our Recommended Foods list. You can take a look, the link is on the main page of the Food Group here, right under the red photo.
I hope everyone who has switched to Earthborn will let us know how your dogs like it and how it works for them.
How old is Wrigley. Maybe you could use the adult TOTW, which is available at doggiefood.com.
