Hi! We began our transition to Orijen yesterday! So far so good :) From reading some of the other posts, I see that I should do the transition only for 4-5 days since the foods are so different. Along those lines… I have one question… Ruby was also taking one daily Life's Abundance "Wellness Food Supplement". I'm assuming I can stop that now as well since the Orijen is more nutritious? Or should I continue it until she is on 100% of the Orijen?
Thank you.

Even with the L.A. food, the supplement is not necessary. The food (even the L.A.) provides all the necessary vitamins and minerals, so you can stop the supplement any time.
(I had to laugh when I looked at the ingredients in the supplement. All that vitamin C, when dogs don't need any vitamin C in their diets at all! Unlike us, dogs make their own vitamin C and don't need to get it from their food. Just one example of how these products are mostly a waste of money.)
Thanks so much for your reply and expertise Karen :) Wish I had done this months ago, but at least we are on the right track now! Ruby has already figured out my trick by mixing them together and can already pick out the better food! Transition may be faster than a few days! I'll have some pumpkin on hand just in case.
It shouldn't hurt her if you transition faster. :)
Glad to hear Ruby has such good taste!
Karen is right,,I too over a month ago ,switched from LA,to Acana,,which is made by Orijen,,,it was the best Move I did!!I thought my dogs had senitive stomachs,,,One of them was vomiting at least 2 times a week,,never thinking it was the food!!!Not once have they had problems since the switch,,,they actually jump around at feeding time like I was giving them a treat!!!,Im glad Susan switched,,,that food is the worst ,,the only one who likes it is the breeders, cause they benifit from the sales!!!,Nooooooo more for me,,and I will surely tell others!!!
