Victor dog food

Karen just wondering your thoughts on this dog food. At our doodle romps so many people Rave about this food. I was given a sample of the Victor Yukon river from our feed store. Currently Mikey is on raw but I am transitioning him soon back to kibble.

It's interesting, I had never heard of this food, and when I did a search to locate a store near me, the closest one was almost 50 miles away in a small town I had also never heard of, lol. I live in a suburb of Chicago where pet stores abound and this is the first brand I've found that isn't sold anywhere in the greater Chicagoland area. I'm guessing it's in very limited distribution. 

I'll need to do some research before I could recommend it. One thing I did find is that the company that makes it, MidAmerica Pet Foods, was sold to a private equity firm about a year and a half sog. That's usually not a good thing for the quality of the food, as when shareholders are involved, profits usually become the main concern, so the quality goes down. I think there are better choices if you're going to first choose a brand of kibble.

They actually sell it on chewy.com now. I figured I would ask you. They also gave me samples of the Orijen tundra but I will probably go with Acana pacifica or the Duck and Pear again.
