Does anyone know of training programs to help a dog become a Therapy Dog? Dyson loves people and he has such a good nature to him I would love him to be a "working" dog. He loves to go out and travel and do new things so I think it would be a good fit for him.

I'm also interested in therapy training programs. Let me know if you hear any news. I'm particularly interested in blood sugar alert training as I have type 1 diabetes.
ST Johns Ambulance has a program. You can Google them to find an email but if I recall from when I tried to contact them years ago they take forever to get back to you. If you can get a class arranged they are great. Even though we are not purebred I think you can do Canine Good Citizen though the AKC/CKC as well, but i don't know the details. This may help get into some places to do some freelance Therapy work.

Hi, I'm new to DK and I am in Toronto as well. I'll like my doodle to be a "therapy" dog as well. I have found this website but I haven't contacted them yet: http://www.caringcanine.ca/
