Traveling to Bar Harbor, Maine with our doodle

My husband and I are renting a house in Bar Harbor, Maine in July and are bringing Seamus with us.  Does anyone from the area or who has traveled there have any suggestions about where to go with dogs, do's and don'ts, or other pet friendly places/activities?
