Yea, I'm sure all the puppies from that litter will be around the same weight when they are finished growing.....Trina had told me to weigh Kodie at 16 weeks, then to double that weight...and, that is what she should weigh... give, or take 5 lbs either way....At 16 weeks Kodie was right around 35 lbs., so I guess she'll be "around" 65-70 lbs. My Vet had even said that she would probably be around 60-65 lbs at maturity. I guess we'll never know until they stop growing....
Hello....I was told to measure from the ground to the top of their shoulders, at the highest point. Kodie measured around 22"...it was hard to get an accurate reading, as she was moving around so much......
Hi there everyone! My name is Dianne Carter and I have a doodle from Trina that was the litter before yours. Same parents. Macy is just over a year right now. She also seemed to be packing it on for a while, but has leaned out. I think that most of the growing is done by 1, with some weight gain and some filling out for the next year. Also keep in mind that during the 4-7 month period is some very rapid growth and development. Macy is aprox 55 lbs and 22-23" at the shoulder. On another note I have a doodle who is 2 (Malachi), he was supposed to be 50-55 lbs., he is 2 weights 80 lbs and is 29" to the shoulder ~ no kidding! The formula Trina shared with you is pretty accurate. Best of luck with your doodles!
Well....Kodie has amazed me again with her weight.....last week when she got her Bordatella nasal mist, she was 63 lbs. The vet thinks she'll be in the 70 lb. range....and, she really doesn't eat much! She is built very solid, we call her a miniature horse, as she has skinny legs, and a large, solid body.
That is what Giada went for her-- Bordatella nasal mist..........they're on the same schedule!! WOW............she is huge. I thought Giada is bigat 50#. The vet said she won't get much larger.
