Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
Hi! So, we've been watching our Freddie grow and change, and it's so amazing how different he looks! One thing that remains is the chicken fluff on top of his head! Has anyone had this fur pattern? Does it go away? It feels (according to my 5 year old) stickier than the rest of his fur (it gets tangled kind of easily) but is so thin and sparse on top of his head??? Just wondering what we might expect as he gets older. He's 8 months now :)

Freddie looks to have a coat very much like my sweet boy Jack's. If you look at my photos on my page, you can see what it may look like when Freddie is grown. His coat was thin, silky, flyaway, and very shiny. It was kind of like velcro, which goes along with your child's comment about being sticky, lol.
I lost Jackdoodle last fall, but if Freddie's coat ends up like his, you can expect very easy maintenance (no matting ever, quick drying, 5-10 minutes to brush out) but also considerable shedding.
OH! My reply never posted to you!
I'm so sorry you lost your Jack. We lost Bruno not too long ago, and it is so sad. If Freddie ends up half as adorable as your Jack, we will be happy doodle parents!!
Thank you, Dayna. :)
