Do I have an improper coat doodle?

Hi everyone, I'm a proud new owner of a goldendoodle. His mom is an F1b more retriever and dad is a standard poodle. I never knew there was such thing as a flat coat doodles until joining doodle kisses. I love my Maui and I wouldn't trade him for anything but I'm curious if he will doodle out. Has anyone seen a puppy like him that grew a beard later?

My puppy looked just like him. He is 1 1/2 now and has a straight golden retriever coat but wavy ears. He sheds quite a bit too.

I think your pup is a flat coated doodle and won't get the usual facial furnishings.  He is beautiful with that coloring, wave and face.
