Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
Hello everyone! May I introduce you to Bink? He is 8 weeks old and is an F1 goldendoodle from a Englisch Golden Retriever and en Standard Poodle. He is very smart and learns very quick. He is so adorable and sweet!
But I have a question. We chose Bink because we tought he wil become a doodle with a fleece coat. But now I've read the most doodles should have a beard or else they probebly will develop a straight coat. Bink doesn't have a beard. He does have little curls on his ears and wavy hair around his neck and back. His legs and tail have short straight hair. Does this mean he wil have a straight of flat coat? Now he is shedding a little bit. Do puppies always shed al little bit or does this mean he always wil be shedding?
Just for the record. It does not matter if he is going to shed a lot or will never have a fleece coat. I allready falled in love with him and never want to loose him. The reason why I ask this question is because I look for puppy's with a similar coat (in fact a puppy with all this contradictions: curls, waves and straight with no beard) but can't find them. When I find a puppy with a coat like Bink, they all have a beard?
If you want you can also visit my photoalbum for more pictures of Bink and his mum and dad.

Bink is now 14 months and I wanted to let everyone know how his coat looks now. Here are some pictures. Maybe it's also helpfull for people who have the same question as I had a year ago.
PS. He sheds tons of hair everyday.. But that doesn't matter because he is sooooo sweet :D
Nice update - so fun to see how he doodled out! He is a handsome doodle. I have two non-shedding ALDs, but I often wonder if the shedding doodles coat is easier to maintain than the non-shedder? Do they mat?
Guess you just buy a Roomba and you are good to go. LOL
That is very cool. I think he looked similar to Rosie when he was young and I am hoping she will get shaggy and have a good beard and brow. We will wait and see!
