Flat/straight coat doodle

Hi! We welcomed Copper, an F2b golden doodle, into our home last month. He is 14 weeks old, BIG (around 30#s now), and so very sweet. His parents are both very doodle-y as are several of his litter mates, however Copperand several other litter mates mostly just looks like retrievers. He is shedding some (mostly just noticeable on his crate mat), but we are brushing a few times a week. Any thoughts on his potential coat?? I am attaching a few pictures... The fur around his head is much softer than his back... He also looks much more curly when wet. Thanks! I am glad to have found this group!

He's adorable! It seems like he has the beginnings of facial furnishings. The coat looks pretty straight right now but I'm very curious to see how he turns out!
