Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

Hi!

We are totally new to this!  Our first and only puppy we've ever had (a chocolate lab, Bruno) was 16 years ago, and after we lost him earlier this year, we've just gotten our first goldendoodle!  Freddie is a sweetheart, and totally in your face, adorable little ham.  He's learning lots of new things (not all good hahah!) and we're just smitten.  My question is, I'm sooooo curious to know what he might look like?!?!  He's very "golden" and not so much "doodle"...I am struggling and convincing myself that I see some doodle there, but feel like I'm kidding myself.  His littermate who lives with our very good friends is very scruffy (not curly) and has lots of facial fluff, but Freddie is pretty smooth, and his coat is very VERY plush, but not curly or wavy at this point...He's 11 weeks old (almost 12) now.  Has anyone had a doodle that was more golden with these whispy hairs all over that ended up doodly???  I mean, he's cute as all get out and we love him, but I'm not a very patient person, and waiting a year to see his coat will put me in the asylum haha!!!

Hi there,

Freddie looks just like Russ used to!

Russ is an F1 mini goldendoodle that was all 'golden' as a puppy. So much so that even the vets assumed that he was a smaller golden retriever puppy.

He started 'sprouting' at about 5-6 months. He's now 9 months and rather shaggy/wavy, but he's started shedding again, so we're waiting to see what his final coat will actually look like.

Here are some pictures. :)

Freddie is adorable.  I have not guesses as to what he might look like, but he seems pretty similar to Mia's Russ.  I sure like both Freddie and Russ' names.

Awww, thank you!!
