Our new pup. Still a Golden Retriever.

Hi everyone. This is my pup, Loki. He is 10 weeks. I was told to check out this group as my Doodle seems to take after a Golden more than a Poodle. I actually have no experience with these things but his coat seems very frizzy and super thick. I have yet to see a hair fall from it. It seems very fleece like to me when I check out other pics. Anyone here have a pup with a coat like this? I am very curious to know what he will look like when he is older.

Here is my Georgia at 10 weeks.She was vey fluffy with a thick coat.She looks completely different now at 4 months as she's going through coat changes.It's been very interesting watching the changes!

Cute pup you got. How much did she weigh at 10 weeks? Loki is a solid little bugger. Everyone keeps telling me he is going to be huge. Hopefully not too huge, lol.

He's so cute!

His coat looks a lot like Luna's did at that age.  She was a bit less fluffy though, probably because she's smaller (she's a mini).  Here she is at 11 weeks old.

I have heard that puppies don't shed but I have practical experience to the contrary. You can be in all black and walk away from a cuddle with Loki without a single hair on you. Does their level shedding as pups reflect on their level of shedding as an adult?

She's about 38 pounds - her dad was a mini poodle.  

Luna didn't shed much as a puppy but after about 8 months old she started to shed more, mostly seasonally.  It's hard to tell how much they will shed until after about a year old.

She is pretty big for a mini hey? Her wisps on the top of her ears as a pup sure were adorable.

As for Loki, he literally doesn't shed at all. Fingers crossed lol.
