Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
I got Ellie when she was 5wks because her mom stopped feeding. She is an F1...mom is mini-poodle and dad is golden retriever. She had more ripples than her siblings but by the time she was 2mos, she had lost all of her ripples and developed a very flat and short coat. She is 6mos now and has developed some facial furnishings along with very thick fleece on her feet... I have to trim her feet and between her pads. When wet, she has a wave at the end of her hair which is now about 3in but it dries flat with a course texture. I have attached her pics at 4wks, 4mos (wet) and now at 6mos. Do you think she will doodle out? Is she just a late bloomer? Or will she be a very flat coated goldendoodle?

Ellie is an adorable dog, but I don't think she is a doodle at all. Her ears look more terrier to me. I love her coloring with that blaze on her forehead.
I agree, I'm pretty sure she isn't a goldendoodle, the ears are set too high and neither Poodles nor Goldens have ears that stand up like that. Definitely a terrier mix. I think the person who bred her was a bit less than honest with you. It's also against the law in half the states in the U.S. to sell a puppy under 8 weeks old. By four weeks, they're started on solid food anyway, so the mother not nursing makes no difference at 5 weeks of age. But that's way too young to leave the litter. What was your vet's opinion?
She's very cute, though. She'll most likely have a straight shaggy coat, and it will stay coarse. And like most terriers, she already has the facial furnishings, which will get longer and shaggier.
She has such a short muzzel for being a Goldendoodle. She looks like a Jack Russel terrior poodle mix to me
I have to agree with everyone else. Although adorable, I don't think she is a GoldenDoodle at all. The ears just aren't right. Even though you say they don't stand up, they sort of have that fold at the top. I GD's ears lay flat to the head. I agree with terrier mix of some sort, and a cute one at that.
